Greetings!
First and foremost I'm happy to be a part of the Flux crew. I want to send a special thank you to Sean, James, and Jon. They’ve made my transition into the Flux world a seamless one. A little about me - I come to Flux Advertising from a more traditional ad sales background. My career started over 20 years ago in the great state of Maine. That’s correct – I’m a Maine-iac. For those of you who don’t know about Maine, it’s the furthest north eastern state in the US.
Maine:
Capital – Augusta
Admission to Statehood – March 15th, 1820
Bird: Chickadee
Nickname: Pine Tree State
Pop: 1,274,923 (40th)
Economy: Seafood (Lobsta), Blueberries, Potatoes, Poultry and Eggs
A little more about me:
Without getting into too much detail I cultivated my career while working with several Fortune 500 companies (UPS – MBNA – Yahoo – Monster.com – LA Times). I’ve concluded working in a less corporate environment provides the creative landscape I truly desire. There’s a lot to be said about smaller companies – less bureaucracy leads to higher productivity. However, I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything.
Blog:
I’ll be writing our Sunday edition for the Blog. Since this is an open forum I’d like to hear your suggestions on topics I should cover. If I don’t receive constructive feedback I’ll most likely discuss sports or home improvement projects. Ever since I purchased my home this past year I’ve spent more time at Lowes than any place else. There’s something about building and construction that really makes me cuckoo for cocoa puffs (Dr. Richard West – Emerson College).
Back to my addition to Flux – I’m truly excited to be here and believe I’ve finally found a home. I plan to contribute as much energy and time to the company as possible. Look for me at most of the usual trade shows (Affiliate Summit, LeadsCon, Ad:Tech). For those of you attending ad:tech NYC – I’d love to meet up. Feel free to contact me at: Christopher.may@fluxads.com.
That’s my time for today – I’ll have more to say in the near future. Until we meet again – thanks for stopping by and safe travels.
Chris
